Create and edit agents, pipelines, toolkits and MCPs from chat
Once an agent, pipeline, toolkit, or MCP connection (an MCP connection is a kind of toolkit) is a participant in your conversation, you can open its editor inline and adjust it without switching pages. The same inline editor also opens in create mode directly from the composer’s + menu, so you never have to leave the conversation to start a new one.
Create a new one from the composer
Section titled “Create a new one from the composer”Open the + menu
Select + in the composer toolbar, then open the Agents, Pipelines, or Toolkits category (MCP connections are created from the Toolkits category too).
Select Create new
Above the category’s list of existing items, select Create new. The same inline editor a participant’s own edit icon opens appears, in create mode.
Fill it in and save
Enter the required fields (an agent needs a name and description; other entity types have their own minimums) and save.
It's attached automatically
Saving creates the entity and attaches it to the current conversation as a participant — the same as picking an existing one from the list. It shows up in the Participants panel right away.
Edit an existing participant
Section titled “Edit an existing participant”Attach the participant
If it isn’t already in the conversation, attach it from the composer’s + menu or by typing
#. See Use chat.Open its editor
Click the participant in the Participants panel, then click its settings icon (or hover and click the edit icon that appears).
Make your changes and save
The inline editor opens for that entity type. Edit it and save — the change applies to that entity going forward, the same as editing it from its own page.
