Custom

Custom isn’t a vendor integration — it’s a fallback editor. Every toolkit type normally gets a typed form built from its schema, but Custom always appears at the bottom of the type picker as a generic JSON settings editor you can point at any type. Use it when a type has no typed form yet, or when you need to set a field the form doesn’t expose.

  • The toolkit type key you want to configure (for example github or jira) and the field names its schema expects — check that type’s own page in this catalogue, or the type’s settings in the create form first.
  • Any credential the underlying type needs, created the normal way under Credentials.
  1. Open the toolkit type picker

In the left navigation, open Toolkits, then select New. Custom is listed at the end of the type picker, outside the category filters.

  2. Write the settings JSON

The editor is a JSON text area with syntax highlighting and linting. Enter the type and settings fields the underlying toolkit type expects.

  3. Save

Name the toolkit and select Create. Elitea validates the JSON but does not re-check it against the target type’s schema beyond basic parsing — a field name typo won’t be caught here.

There’s no fixed tool list — the tools exposed are whatever the underlying toolkit type provides once its settings are valid.
